Chers Amis,
Je veux rendre hommage à celles et ceux qui, en 1975-1976, ont pris une initiative féconde en créant INTA-AIVN (International New Town Association – Association internationale des villes nouvelles). Une décision d’une grande pertinence, ancrée sur une vision de l’avenir des villes et sur une éthique dans la recherche et l’action.
Je veux rendre hommage à celles et à ceux, qui durant ces quatre décennies ont fait vivre INTA, en lui faisant confiance, en lui consacrant du temps et du savoir, en assurant des responsabilités pas toujours faciles à exercer.
Je veux saluer en particulier ceux qui m’ont précédé à la présidence et aujourd’hui parmi nous : Henri Chabert, Mohamed M’Barki and Joe Montgomery ; Budiarsa Sastrawinata empêché d'être avec nous ce soir vous adresse ses vœux chaleureux et ses félicitations.
J’y associe notre Secrétaire Général, Michel Sudarskis, et le secrétariat qui sont le pivot de notre association.
Dear Friends,
I would like to pay tribute to those who, in 1975-1976, took the audacious initiative of founding INTA-AIVN (International New Town Association). This decision was an act of great wisdom, nourished by a clear vision of the future of Cities and based on an ethics in research and action.
I want to pay tribute to those who, during these four decades, have worked for and with INTA, trusting in the association, devoting time and knowledge to it and assuming responsibilities that are not always easy to exercise.
In particular, I would like to pay tribute to those who have preceded me to the presidency and who are today among us: Henri Chabert, Mohamed M'Barki and Joe Montgomery; Budiarsa Sastrawinata unable to be with us tonight sent his warmest regards and sincere congratulations..
I also want to pay tribute to our Secretary General, Michel Sudarskis, and the staff who remain the pivot of our association.
